As we prepare for the Season, Please review the following.

Every team must provide a Timekeeper (stopwatch is required) or Scorekeeper (bring a backup pen) for their game. Each team must provide a Ballperson (and 4 balls) on the endline

What may not be understood about these responsibilities is that they are off field officials.

This means that the volunteers should not be coaching on the benchside or endlines, they should not be cheering loudly or questioning referee calls. For this small timeframe, you are an off field official and should be working in partnership with the on field officials.

Coaches can help the off field officials by insuring that the coaches box is always clear of their players. The players should not be lining the sidelines, they should be six yards from the field of play, and they should not be in the change area (unless changing or serving a penalty) or approaching the scorekeeper asking what the score is... The off field officials are required to have an unobstructed and uninterrupted view of the field of play.

The respect for the game should never be comprised by the players, coaches, officials or parents. Everyone is responsible to ensure this stays true in Field Lacrosse

    U9 Developmental Program

The U9 Field Program is a developmental program. It is fully santioned program which is part of the OMFLL program.

The Program will continue as a non contact "Turkey Shoot" type program. There is to be no take outs hits of any sort. Players may rub and jostle on lose balls.

    • NCCP certified Coaches and certified Trainers for each team
    • 20 Minute halves
    • All field rules to be applied. Penalties to be served. Timing begins when both of the following happens, knee of offending player touches the ground in the penalty area and the play is whistled in.
    • Field nets will be reduced to 5 feet wide and 5 feet in height.
    • Tied games will go into overtime. Two 2 minute long halves to be played.
    • Face Off will take place after every goal.
    • If a team fall behind by 5 goals or more, they will be awarded the ball at midfield after all goals scored.

Also very important to understand that there will be a zero tolerance in regards to foul language, unsportsmanlike actions and verbal attacks from the bench staff, the field of play or the spectator area. Respect and honour for the game will be expected.

    Thanks...OMFLL Executive

The Jamieson Kuhlmann Memorial Field Lacrosse Tournament

    The Jammer Classic

Always seek and find something in life you truly enjoy.
Muster together the strength, wisdom, and determination to be good at it and take it to a level where it simply makes you feel good.
Put yourself in a position so that you can touch and influence others, and in return you will be touched and influenced by them.

If you can bring about what Jamieson brought to others and in turn what was brought to him, then we will all be the better for it.
Remember to always pass the ball to everyone around you. Not just to those that will catch it and put it into the net, but also to those that might fumble it, for they will catch it in their hearts and remember you always.
May all of those who play in the Jammer Classic draw inspiration from a great young man who was called upon to play his game elsewhere.
His legacy will remain with us forever.
